Hello Darkness…

The song « Darkness » by Stewart Copeland can be understood as the struggle of being famous and always visible and moving. But one can relate to it on another level: depression and even suicide.
It’s the last track on Ghost In The Machine, the fourth studio album by the Police, released in 1981.

Simon & Garfunkel – Sound of Silence

In the counterculture movements of the 1960s, the phrase “sound of silence” can be compared to other more commonly used turns of phrase such as “turning a deaf ear” often associated with the detachment experienced with impersonal large governments.

Imagine (campaign)

This Lego ad campaign is based on minimalist representations of iconic/popular cartoon characters.

Minimalist ads

When watching kids play with their creations, the feeling is exactly this. These minimal designs clearly reflect how they view their world.
