Kung Fu Fighting – Carl Douglas

As far as I remember, Kung Fu Fighting is the 2nd 7″ 45RPM I bought as a kid, with my own money.

First one was Ramaya by Afric Simone in 1975.

The one-hit wonder behind the disco novelty smash « Kung Fu Fighting, » Carl Douglas was also the first Jamaican-born artist to score a number one single in the United States.

US Billboard #1 HOT 100 in 1974

The song was covered by CeeLo Green with Jack Black for the Kung Fu Panda franchise.
